Eyes sink beneath cement
skylines and umbrella skies.
Walking past drowning streets,
people thinking of
happier days

under the sun.
When the heat permeates
through your skin to your
head when it aches to your
blood when it boils

to your body when it slowly crumbles

and oh,
how you will miss the rain.
